Eligibility for Application
Science Unit (A)
Applicants must have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent examination between 2020 and 2023, and must appear in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination in 2025 under any education board in Bangladesh from the Science/Agriculture group, or Alim from the Madrasa Board (Science group), or IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level (Science group), or hold an equivalent foreign degree.
Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 (including 4th subject) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations, with a combined GPA of at least 8.00.
For IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level or equivalent foreign degree holders, grade equivalency will be determined accordingly.
Students from Humanities, General, or Business Studies backgrounds are also eligible to apply to the Science Unit.
In such cases, applicants must have at least GPA 3.00 (including 4th subject) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations, with a combined GPA of at least 7.50.
For IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level or equivalent degree holders, equivalency will also apply.

Arts, Law and Social Science Unit (B)
Applicants must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination in 2020 or later and the HSC examination in 2025 from:
- Humanities group of any education board in Bangladesh
- Alim (General group) under Madrasa Board
- Science (Science, Agriculture Science, Home Economics)
- Business Studies (Business Studies, Diploma-in-Commerce, or Business Management)
- IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level
Humanities Group:
Students from Humanities (including Madrasa Board) must have at least GPA 3.00 (including 4th subject) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent exams, with a combined GPA of 7.50.
Science Group:
Students from Science, Agriculture Science, Home Economics, or Madrasa Science must have at least GPA 3.50 (including 4th subject) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent exams, with a combined GPA of 8.00.
Business Studies Group:
Students from Business Studies, Diploma-in-Business Studies, or Business Management must have at least GPA 3.00 (including 4th subject) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent exams, with a combined GPA of 7.50.
O Level and A Level:
Students who have passed at least 5 subjects in IGCSE/O Level (2020 or later) and at least 2 subjects in IAL/GCE A Level (2024) can apply.
Among these 7 subjects, candidates must achieve a minimum of ‘B’ grade in at least 4 subjects and ‘C’ grade in at least 3 subjects. No ‘D’ grade will be accepted.
Business Studies Unit (C)
Applicants must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination in 2020 or later and the HSC examination in 2025 from:
- Business Studies (Business Studies or Business Management)
- Humanities (including Madrasa Board)
- Science (including Madrasa Board Science group)
- IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level
Business Studies Group:
Students must have at least GPA 3.00 (including 4th subject) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent exams, with a combined GPA of 7.50.
Science Group:
Students must have at least GPA 3.50 (including 4th subject) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent exams, with a combined GPA of 8.00.
Humanities Group:
Students must have at least GPA 3.00 (including 4th subject) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent exams, with a combined GPA of 7.50.
O Level and A Level:
Students must have passed at least 5 subjects in O Level and at least 2 subjects in A Level.
Fine Arts Unit (F)
Applicants from any stream (Science, Humanities, or Business Studies) who have passed SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations are eligible.
They must have a combined GPA of at least 6.5 (including 4th subject), with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in each examination separately.
Admission Test Marks Distribution
At the University of Dhaka, admission tests will be held in both MCQ and Written formats.
Time: 30 minutes for MCQ and 60 minutes for Written
Science, Arts, Law & Social Science, and Business Studies Units:
MCQ: 60 marks
Written: 40 marks
Time: 45 minutes for each part
Fine Arts Unit:
MCQ (General Knowledge): 40 marks
Written (Drawing): 60 marks

4 Subject to be answered. You can answer any one of the Bengali/English subjects instead of the 4th subject.
Answering the questions on Bengali, English and ICT subjects is mandatory for candidates of Humanities/General and Commerce Group. A total of 4 subjects should be completed by examination in any one of Mathematics/Statistics/Psychology/Economics/Geography subjects. However, candidates with IAL/GCE/A-Level or foreign degrees can appear in Advanced English subject instead of Bengali subject.
