Eligibility of Application
Science Unit (A)
- Secondary (SSC) or equivalent from 2019 to 2022 and Higher Secondary (HSC) in Science/Agriculture discipline from any Education Board of Bangladesh in 2024 or Alim in Madrasa Board Science or IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level or equivalent foreign degree in Science must be.
- Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent grade-based examination in each of the 4th subject separately with a minimum GPA of 3.50 with a combined GPA of at least 8.00. IGCSE O Level and IAL/GCE / A Level or equivalent grade in case of foreign degree holders will be counted.
- Candidates who have passed Humanities / General and Business Education stream can also apply for admission in Science Unit. In that case, the sum of the two GPA obtained by the candidate must be at least 7.50 with a minimum GPA of 3.00 in each of the 4th subject separately in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent grade-based examination. IGCSE O Level and IAL/GCE / A Level or equivalent grade in case of foreign degree holders will be counted.
Arts, Law and Social Science Unit (B)
- 2019 or subsequent year of Secondary/Equivalent and 2024 Higher Secondary Education Board Humanities group, Madrasa Education Board General Branch Alim, Higher Secondary Education Board Science group (Science, Agricultural Science, Home Economics, Science Branch of Madrasa Education Board) Business Education Branch ( Business Education, Diploma-in-Commerce & Business Management) and pass IGCSE / O Level and IAL / GCE / A Level examination.
- Humanities Group: Students coming from Humanities group (including Madrasa Education Board) must have minimum GPA-sum of 7.50 with a minimum GPA of 3.00 with minimum GPA of 3.00 in each of the secondary and higher secondary examinations.
- Science Group: Students coming from Science, Agriculture, Home Economics and Science group of Madrasa Education Board must have minimum GPA-sum of 8.00 with minimum GPA of 3.50 with minimum GPA of 3.50 in each of Secondary and Higher Secondary Examinations.
- Commerce Group: Students coming from Commerce, Diploma-in-Business Studies and Business Management streams must have a minimum GPA-sum of 7.50 with a minimum GPA of 3.00 in each of the secondary and higher secondary examinations separately with the 4th subject.
- O Level and A Level: Students who have passed at least 5 subjects in IGCSE / O Level examination of 2019 or subsequent year and at least 2 subjects in IAL / GCE / A Level examination of 2024 published can apply for admission. Out of total 7 subjects of O Level and A Level, the applicant must have obtained a minimum grade of ‘B’ in at least 4 subjects and a minimum grade of ‘C’ in 3 subjects; None of these 7 subjects can have ‘D’ grade.
Business Studies Unit (C)
- 2019 or subsequent year of Secondary/Equivalent and 2024 in Commerce (Commerce and Business Management), Humanities (Humanities, Madrasa Education Board Humanities), Science (Science, Madrasa Education Board Science) and IGCSE in 2024 / O Level and IAL / GCE / A Level must be passed.
- Commerce Group: Students coming from Business Education and Business Management Branch must have minimum GPA-sum of 7.50 with a minimum GPA of 3.00 with minimum GPA of 3.00 in each of the secondary and higher secondary examinations separately.
- Science Group: Students coming from Science and from Science Branch of Madrasa Education Board must have minimum GPA-sum of 8.00 with minimum GPA of 3.50 with minimum GPA of 3.50 in each of the secondary and higher secondary examinations separately.
- Humanities Group: Students coming from Humanities streams (including Madrasa Education Board) must have minimum GPA-sum of 7.50 with a minimum GPA of 3.00 with minimum GPA of 3.00 in each of the secondary and higher secondary examinations.
Fine Arts Unit (F)
Secondary (SSC) and Higher Secondary (HSC) or equivalent examination any group (including 4th subject) obtained GPA- Sum of two must be minimum 6.50. Minimum 3.00 in Secondary/Equivalent and Higher Secondary/Equivalent examinations separately.
Admission Test Marks Distribution
Written and MCQ admission test will be conducted in Dhaka University. In Science, Arts, Law and Social Science and Business Studies units there will be MCQ examination of 60 marks and written examination of 40 marks. Time duration for both the exams will be 45 minutes.
MCQ of 40 (General Knowledge) marks and written examination of 60 (Matriculation) marks will be conducted in Fine Arts unit. Time for MCQ will be 30 minutes and time for written will be 60 minutes.

4 Subject to be answered. You can answer any one of the Bengali/English subjects instead of the 4th subject.
Answering the questions on Bengali, English and ICT subjects is mandatory for candidates of Humanities/General and Commerce Group. A total of 4 subjects should be completed by examination in any one of Mathematics/Statistics/Psychology/Economics/Geography subjects. However, candidates with IAL/GCE/A-Level or foreign degrees can appear in Advanced English subject instead of Bengali subject.
