Sonali Bank Scholarship Circular 2025

onali Bank PLC, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, has announced the Education Scholarship 2024 for poor and meritorious students across the country. Priority will be given to the children of farmers, day laborers, indigenous groups, orphans, and especially students with disabilities as well as students from disadvantaged and remote areas (haor, char, and island regions). Each selected student will receive a one-time scholarship of BDT 10,000 (Ten Thousand).

Application Deadline: From 21 September 2025 to 10 October 2025.

Eligibility for Scholarship

• Students who passed SSC or equivalent in 2024 and are currently studying in HSC or equivalent level, OR students who passed HSC or equivalent in 2024 and are currently studying in Bachelor’s or equivalent level can apply.
• For HSC level students:
  • General category: GPA 5.00 in SSC
  • Children/grandchildren of Freedom Fighters: GPA 4.50
  • Students with disabilities: GPA 3.50
• For Bachelor’s level students:
  • General category: GPA 5.00 in HSC
  • Children/grandchildren of Freedom Fighters: GPA 4.50
  • Students with disabilities: GPA 3.50
• Only poor/indigenous/orphan/disabled students and financially disadvantaged children/grandchildren of Freedom Fighters are eligible. Parents’/guardians’ monthly income must not exceed BDT 15,000 (excluding Freedom Fighter allowance). Children of solvent families are discouraged from applying.

Scholarship Amount: One-time Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand).

Required Documents (for shortlisted candidates)

1. Printed Online Application Form with recommendation and seal/signature of Head of Institution/Department.
2. Current Study Certificate from Head of Institution/Department.
3. Attested copies of Academic Transcript (Marksheet) and Citizenship Certificate.
4. Attested copy of Birth Certificate/National ID (NID).
5. Income Certificate of guardian issued by Union Parishad/Pouroshava/City Corporation, mentioning profession and monthly income. For employed guardians, Salary Certificate with designation and pay scale signed by the authority.
6. For Freedom Fighter’s children: Freedom Fighter Certificate. For grandchildren: relationship certificate issued by UP Chairman/Mayor/Ward Councillor.
7. For students with disabilities: attested copy of Disability Certificate issued by the Department of Social Services/District/Upazila Social Services Office.
