DU IBA BBA Admission Test Eligibility Criteria
Only those candidates who passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination in 2025 are eligible to apply.
Applicants must have obtained a minimum combined GPA of 8.00 (including the 4th subject) in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations, with a minimum GPA of 3.5 in each of the two examinations separately.
For IGCSE / O-Level and IAL / GCE A-Level Candidates:
Candidates must have passed at least five subjects in IGCSE/O-Level (Mathematics compulsory) and at least two subjects in IAL/GCE A-Level.
Among these seven subjects, candidates must have at least two A grades, and must achieve a minimum average grade point of 3.5 separately in both IGCSE/O-Level and IAL/GCE A-Level examinations.
Grade points will be calculated as follows:
A = 5.0, B = 4.0, C = 3.0, D = 0.0
Admission Test Mark Distribution
The admission test will be conducted in two stages:
First Stage:
In the first stage, the test will be of 100 marks, consisting of 70 marks for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and 30 marks for Descriptive Writing.

Second Stage:
- In this stage, candidates’ communication skills will be evaluated through a Communication Test carrying 20 marks.
To be considered for the final merit list, candidates must obtain at least 12 marks in the Communication Test. On the day of this test, selected candidates must bring both the original and attested copies of their SSC and HSC (or equivalent) mark sheets and certificates. - The total number of seats at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) is 120, and admission will be purely merit-based. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined score of 120 marks from both stages.
The top 120 candidates will be offered admission into the Undergraduate (BBA) Program at IBA, University of Dhaka.
