To commemorate July Mass Uprising Day, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Bangladesh has declared July 18, 2025 (Friday) as “Free Internet Day”. On this special occasion, all mobile phone users in the country will receive 1GB of free internet valid for 5 days.
As per the decision, the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has already directed all mobile operators to take necessary actions to implement this initiative.
This initiative is part of the government’s plan to honor the historical significance of the July Mass Uprising and promote greater public participation in digital activities. It aims to increase digital accessibility for all citizens and encourage the use of internet services across the country.
