ইংরেজি ব্যাকরণে Tense শেখা অনেকের কাছেই কঠিন মনে হয়। এই নোটে মাত্র তিনটি নিয়ম ব্যবহার করে ১২ প্রকার Tense চেনার সহজ পদ্ধতি উদাহরণসহ তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। রঙিন চিহ্ন দেখে দেখে সহজেই মনে রাখা যাবে।
সহজ পদ্ধতিতে Tense শেখা
মাত্র ৩টি নিয়ম দিয়ে ১২ প্রকার Tense চেনার সহজ পদ্ধতি – রঙ দেখেই মনে রাখা যাবে।

প্রথমে মনে রাখতে হবে

তিনটি সহজ নিয়ম

বাক্যে মূল verb-এর সাথে “ing” থাকলে তাকে আমরা বলব Continuous।

বাক্যে verb-এর Past Participle ফর্ম থাকলে তাকে বলব Perfect।

বাক্যে Shall / Will থাকলে তাকে বলব Future। Future -এর ক্ষেত্রে be/have-কে সাইলেন্ট ধরে নিতে হবে।
বাকি ৩ প্রকারের জন্য (Indefinite চেনার নিয়ম)
- মূল verb-এর Present ফর্ম থাকলে তাকে বলব Present Indefinite।
- মূল verb-এর Past ফর্ম থাকলে তাকে বলব Past Indefinite।
- Shall/Will-এর পর মূল verb-এর Present ফর্ম থাকলে সেটা Future Indefinite।
উদাহরণ দিয়ে বোঝা যাক
Indefinite Tense
PresentShe drinks tea in the morning.
→Indefinite নিয়ম ১verb-এর Present ফর্ম (drinks) আছে, তাই Present Indefinite
PastI wrote a letter yesterday.
→Indefinite নিয়ম ২verb-এর Past ফর্ম (wrote) আছে, তাই Past Indefinite
FutureI will write a letter tomorrow.
→নিয়ম ৩Indefinite নিয়ম ৩Will-এর পর verb-এর Present ফর্ম (write), তাই Future Indefinite
Continuous Tense (verb + ing খুঁজে বের করো)
PresentI am reading a storybook right now.
→ am, Present ফর্ম এ আছে এবংনিয়ম ১verb-এর সাথে “ing” (reading) আছে, তাই Present Continuous
PastI was watching television when you called.
→ was, Past ফর্ম এ আছে এবংনিয়ম ১verb-এর সাথে “ing” (watching) আছে, তাই Past Continuous
FutureI will be waiting for you at the station.
→নিয়ম ৩নিয়ম ১Will আছে (Future) + verb-এর সাথে “ing” (waiting), তাই Future Continuous — এখানে “be” সাইলেন্ট ধরা হয়েছে
Perfect Tense (Past Participle খুঁজে বের করো)
PresentI have completed my homework.
→have, Present ফর্ম এ আছে এবংনিয়ম ২verb-এর Past Participle ফর্ম (completed) আছে, তাই Present Perfect
PastI had finished my work before he came.
→Had, Past ফর্ম এ আছে এবংনিয়ম ২verb-এর Past Participle ফর্ম (finished) আছে, তাই Past Perfect
FutureI will have finished the assignment by tomorrow morning.
→নিয়ম ৩নিয়ম ২Will আছে (Future) + Past Participle (finished), তাই Future Perfect — এখানে “have” সাইলেন্ট ধরা হয়েছে
Perfect Continuous Tense
PresentI have been reading a book for two hours.
→নিয়ম ২নিয়ম ১“have” (Present Form) + “been” (Past Participle) + “ing” (reading) — তাই Present Perfect Continuous
PastI had been reading a book for two hours before he came.
→নিয়ম ২নিয়ম ১“had” (Past Form) +”been” (Past Participle) + “ing” (reading) — তাই Past Perfect Continuous
FutureI will have been reading the book for two hours by 5 PM.
→নিয়ম ৩নিয়ম ২নিয়ম ১Will (Future) + “been” (Past Participle) + “ing” (reading) — তাই Future Perfect Continuous
এক নজরে মনে রাখার কৌশল
- “ing” দেখলেই → Continuous
- Past Participle (৩য় রূপ) দেখলেই → Perfect
- Shall/Will দেখলেই → Future (be/have সাইলেন্ট ধরে নাও)
- উপরের কোনোটাই না থাকলে → Indefinite (verb-এর রূপ দেখে Present/Past ঠিক করো)
- দুটো চিহ্ন (Past Participle + ing) একসাথে থাকলে → Perfect Continuous
