Jahangirnagar University (JU) Admission Test Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Apply:
Students who passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent examination in 2022 or later and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025 are eligible to apply.
Total GPA will be calculated including the fourth subject in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations. The eligibility for different units is as follows:
A Unit (Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences & Institute of Information Technology – IIT):
- A total GPA of 8.50 in SSC and HSC combined.
- A minimum GPA of 4.00 in each exam.
B Unit (Faculty of Social Sciences), C Unit (Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Law and Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture):
- For science students: A total GPA of 8.50.
- For humanities/commerce/other group: A total GPA of 7.50.
- A minimum GPA of 3.50 in each exam.
C1 Unit (Faculty of Arts and Humanities: Department of Drama & Dramatics and Department of Fine Arts):
- A total GPA of 7.50 in SSC and HSC combined.
- A minimum GPA of 3.50 in each exam.
D Unit (Faculty of Biological Sciences):
- A total GPA of 9.00 in SSC and HSC combined.
- A minimum GPA of 4.00 in each exam.
E Unit (Faculty of Business Studies):
- A total GPA of 8.00 in SSC and HSC combined.
- A minimum SSC GPA of 4.00 and HSC GPA 3.50.
Institute of Business Administration – IBA-JU:
- For science students: A total GPA of 8.00 (minimum GPA of 3.75 in each exam).
- For humanities/business studies/other group: A total GPA of 7.50 (minimum GPA of 3.50 in each exam).
For GCE Students (O Level and A Level):
- Students who passed at least five subjects in O Level (from 2019 onwards) and two subjects in A-Level (in 2024 or 2025) are eligible.
- Among the seven subjects (five from O Level and two from A-Level), a minimum of four subjects must have a B grade or equivalent, and three subjects must have a C grade or equivalent.
Requirements for A-Level Students:
- A Unit: Must have a minimum B grade or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- B & C: Must have a minimum B grade or equivalent in English.
- D Unit: Must have a minimum B grade or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

A Unit (Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences & Institute of Information Technology – IIT)
Bangla (3 marks), English (3 marks), Mathematics (22 marks), Physics (22 marks), Chemistry (22 marks) and ICT (8 marks).
B Unit (Faculty of Social Sciences)
Bangla (20 marks), English (20 marks), General Mathematics (20 marks), General Knowledge (15 marks), and Logical Analysis (5 marks).
C Unit (Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Law, and Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture):
Bangla (20 marks), English (20 marks), and General Knowledge along with other relevant subjects (40 marks).
C1 Unit (Faculty of Arts and Humanities: Department of Drama & Dramatics and Department of Fine Arts)
Bangla (10 marks), English (10 marks), General Knowledge (20 marks), and other relevant subjects (40 marks).
D Unit (Faculty of Biological Sciences)
Bangla (4 marks), English (4 marks), Intelligence (4 marks), Chemistry (24 marks), and Biology (44 marks, subdivided into Botany (22 marks) and Zoology (22 marks)).
E Unit (Faculty of Business Studies)
For business studies students: Bangla (20 marks), English (20 marks), Accounting (20 marks), and Management (20 marks).
For science, humanities, or equivalent students: the subjects are Bangla (20 marks), English (20 marks), Mathematics and Analytical Ability (20 marks), and Business-Related General Knowledge (20 marks).
Institute of Business Administration – IBA-JU
Bangla (5 marks), English (30 marks), Mathematical Aptitude and IQ (30 marks), and Current and Analytical Topics (15 marks).
